Payment Terms

At the end of your first visit to our clinic, we will provide you with a printed copy of any planned treatment. This will include an estimated breakdown of the cost of your treatment and how many visits will be required.

All patients at the clinic are seen on a private basis or under the PRSI scheme operated by the Dept. of Social Welfare. Unfortunately we currently do not provide treatment under the Medical Card Scheme run by the Health Services Executive.

If you are covered under the PRSI scheme, you are entitled to one ‘Oral Examination’ per year. Find out your entitlements here. If you would like to know if you qualify for this, simply call or email us with your details and PPS number and we will be happy to check for you.

We ask that payments are made for each appointment as they are completed. We accept cash, cheque, debit cards and credit cards. A receipt is always issued at the end of each treatment session.

Tax Relief

Certain dental procedures such as crowns, root canals qualify for 20% tax relief. At the end of treatment we will provide and help complete a Med 2 form for you and you can use this to claim your tax relief.

Cancellations

We would ask for at least 24 hours notice if you have to cancel your appointment. This gives us the opportunity to offer the appointment to someone else. Regrettably, patients who continually fail to attend their appointments will be liable to pay a ‘failure to attend’ fee. This must be settled prior to a new appointment being arranged otherwise no further appointments can be made.

Dental Insurance – How it works.

We are happy to accept all patients who have Dental Insurance. Our reception team will help you complete your insurance claim forms when you come to visit us.

We are also part of the VHI Dental Network. This means that Vhi Dental members can avail of Direct Payment of their plan benefits when they attend us for their appointments. Simply attend us and you only have to pay us for the costs of dental treatment not covered by your VHI Dental plan. There’s no need for you to have to claim back your benefits – simply sign the claim form. Please note: VHI Direct Payment is not available for specialist prosthodontic services.

How VHI Direct Payment Works:

How VHI Direct Payment Works:

Step 1: Make an appointment with us:

Call us on 01-6655900 or book online to make your appointment. You must provide your VHI Dental policy number to us at this point if you wish to use VHI Direct Payment.

Step 2: We Confirm you are covered with VHI:

We will confirm that you are covered for your dental examination and checkup with VHI. We will typically be given approval for an Exam, a basic Scale & Polish, and two small X-rays.

Step 3: When you’re with us:

Attend for your Exam, Scale & Polish and X-rays (if necessary).

Step 4: If you require further treatment:

If further treatment is necessary, we will forward a treatment plan to VHI Dental for approval before your next visit.
Following treatment, simply sign the claim form which we will provide for you.
You only pay us for the costs not covered by your plan.
If further treatment is required during your ‘Examination’ visit (e.g. you require a filling to fix a broken tooth) and we have only received prior approval for an Examination, X-rays and Cleaning, then you will have to pay us directly for this treatment and reclaim the fee directly from VHI afterwards.

Step 5: We submit the claim:

We submit the claim directly to VHI Dental for you.

VHI Dental pays us directly.
